2011 Carnival Queen Contestant Earlene Labassiere is Miss Malcolm Stevens and sons Co Ltd


Malcolm Stephens & Sons Co Ltd has once again demonstrated its commitment to the preservation of Dominica’s cultural heritage through the sponsorship of yet another carnival queen contestant.


While addressing the media at the first of what is expected to be a series of DFC press conferences leading up to carnival Monday and Tuesday, General Manager of Malcolm Stephens & Sons Co Ltd Mr. Malcolm Stephens says his company is pleased to be facilitating  Miss Earlene Labassiere’s participation in the 2011 Miss Dominica Pageant .


Miss Labassiere expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Stephens for placing his confidence in her.


Meanwhile, Events Director of the Dominica Festivals Committee Mrs Nathalie Clarke White said that the committee is well on its way to creating the excitement for the 2011 Real Mas celebrations.


She says several new features have been added to this year’s carnival celebrations. Among them is a pan competition entitled Pan Savanne and the resurgence of the Soca Monarch competition, which will all be held at Carnival City.
