21 young boys join the Castle Bruce Scout Troupe

DSCI3486The Castle Bruce Scout Troupe grew bigger over the weekend when 15 cubs and 6 scouts were welcome into the brotherhood.

The Enrollment ceremony took place on Saturday 14th June at the Castle Bruce Primary School.

Chief Commissioner of Scouting in Dominica, Erwin David was on hand to welcome the new recruits to the society and emphasize the true benefits of scouting.

“If it wasn’t for scouting a lot of us would be in jail…scouting is a very good thing. And don’t be ashamed if you’re the only persons walking on the street with a uniform. You are a member of the largest youth group on the earth”, he told the troupes.

He urged the young men to practice scouting in and around their community, reminding them that they are different and can make a difference.DSCI3484
