A St. Joseph youngster loses his hand following an altercation
What many persons in the St. Joseph community said started as a feud between two young villagers, have now resulted in tragedy.
Eighteen year old Brian Francis of Back Street, St. Joseph is currently nursing injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital after his left hand was severed following an altercation in St. Joseph on November 30th, 2010.
Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Claude Weekes says a seventeen year old is assisting the police with their investigations into that incident.
‘You might have heard about an incident in St. Joseph where a young man lost his left hand. Police can confirm that Brian Francis of that community is now a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital following an altercation with a fellow resident. One person is assisting the police with their investigations into that matter,’ said Inspector Weekes.
