All Saints Host Free Health Fair

vlcsnap-2013-12-03-16h32m02s137Dominicans are being urged to ensure they do regular health checks, as this will mitigate their chances of illness.

This was the advice of Ms. Cristiana Francis, Health Fair Coordinator of the American Medical Students Association (AMSA), when they hosted a Health Fair at the All Saints University School of Medicine.

The public received free blood and blood glucose tests, as well as engaged in sexual education and fitness discussions.

According to Ms. Francis the public is always appreciative of these health fairs, as many do not have the money to conduct regular health checkups.

The Health Fair was followed by a walk for Diabetes, from the All Saints University through the streets of Roseau, then to the Botanical Gardens, where the group led by Father Franklyn Cuffy, hoola hooped for diabetes.
