Public Relations Officer of the Association of Music Professionals (AMP), Mr. Daryl Bobb is of the view that unity is the missing ingredient in Dominica’s Music Industry.

He made the statement during an exclusive interview with SAT TV on Saturday April 26th 2014, adding unity is essential in the marketing of our local music to the region and the world.

Bobb also noted, in order to properly market our unique Boyoun Music and all local music, the Government must get involved.

“We’re hoping that the administration can see the importance of the cultural industries to our Dominican economy.”

Bobb believes that by partnering with numerous territories where cultural industries are advanced like Trinidad and Barbados, Dominica would be in a better position to market its music.

The P.R.O is hoping the Government can see the impact music can have, as it relates to the marketing and promotion of Dominica, so that more resources can be allocated to that area.

He said that the AMP gives them the opportunity to lobby on behalf of all music professionals as one body, as opposed to each person looking out for themselves.
