An International Marketing Consultant advices Dominica to stick with its niche market
International Marketing Consultant, Mr Tom Buncle has advised tourism stakeholders in Dominica to focus on marketing now more than before, as the tourism industry continues to record decreased levels of visitation.
Mr Buncle, who recently conducted a training workshop in Dominica, said that due to the global financial crisis many visitors are now spending less on tourism destinations, and so, their expectations are even higher.
He believes that focus should be placed on marketing and ensuring that visitors’ needs are met and surpassed.
Mr Buncle also said that while it is important to seek new markets, Dominica should be careful not to drift too far from its current niche markets.
