Another Grammy Award Winning Artiste for Jazz N’ Creole 2014 Edition
Plans are continuing for this year’s Jazz N’ Creole event to be held at Cabrits in Portsmouth.
The event, on Sunday June 8th 2014, will see the inclusion of more Grammy award winning artistes.
Chief Executive Officer of the Discover Dominica Authority, Mr. Colin Piper, speaking during a press conference on Wednesday April 16th, revealed that Puerto Rican native, Marlow Rosado has been added to the already attractive itinerary.
Rosado is a multiple Grammy winner with works in salsa, rock, merengue, hip-hop, bachata and reggaeton. He is also a producer, composer and a pianist.
According to Piper this shows that efforts are being made to improve the event.
“That just goes to show the lengths to which we are trying to improve on the Jazz ‘n Creole event… by bringing quality and bonafide artists to the main stage for Dominicans to enjoy as well as our friends from the Caribbean” Piper said.
A week of events has also been planned leading up to the 5th annual Jazz N’ Creole.
Marva Williams, Events Assistant at the Dominica Festivals Committee is urging everyone to be a part of the fringe events which are all important.
