Another Successful License E Football Coaching Course Completed

The Dominica Football Association (DFA) in collaboration with the United States Soccer Federation, staged a License E football coaching course over the weekend. This was held at the Patrick John Football House in Bath Estate.

President of the Dominica Football Association Mr. Glen Etienne who regarded the initiative as a historic one stated, the course is intended to certify coaches who work with Premiere and Division One teams.

Football coaching is a key component to any meaningful football developmental programme, and as such it must be given the necessary attention that it deserves he added.

He urged the participants to impart the knowledge they have learnt to the clubs and teams they coach, as the successful completion of this course would make them better coaches than they were.

“Over the years, the DFA has staged many of these courses, training over 400 individuals, “said Mr. Etienne.

The DFA President urged the participants not to treat this course like any other, stressing on its importance, as only few individuals will be identified for further training locally and abroad.

Instructor of the License E Course, Mr. Vince Ganzberg, advised the coaches to make the necessary efforts to reinstate the Coaches Association, as it is very important for continued training and development.

Some of the participants were; Don Leogal, Allan Toussaint, James Jervier, Shane Marshall, John Joseph, Miguel George and Edgar Peltier.
