Arson & Murder Stains Friday Day Morning

1311880026Sometime in the early hours of Friday May 23, 2014 the dwelling house of Mile Plendeleith of Melville was completely destroyed by fire.

It was reported that Shan Andrew, was the only occupant of the house at the time, when two individuals armed with cutlasses entered the house.

They tied and beat Shan, then spread a flammable liquid in the house and lit the house on fire.

Shan escaped from the men and was later treated for his injuries at the Wesley Health Centre.

One man is presently in police custody and is being questioned. The investigations continue.

 

Meanwhile, Felix Prince of Zicack, who is said to be in his 50’s, is now dead following an altercation with another man of that community.

On May 23 2014, at about 9 a.m. in Zicack, Felix was found in an unconscious state on the public road.

He was then transported to the Reginald Fitzroy Armour Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One man is now in police custody and is being questioned. A coroner’s inquest has convened and a post mortem will follow.
