ASP Yvonne Alexander awarded by one of the top-UK law enforcement universities
ASP Yvonne Alexander is being commended by one of the top universities who train law enforcement officers in the United Kingdom.
Alexander, who undertook a three-month training programme at the university received her certification from the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to the commonwealth of Dominica, H.E Paul Brummell, during his visit to the island earlier this week.
Ambassador Brummell said that the British High Commission, who funded the programme was very pleased with the positive reviews received by the institution about Alexander.
Mrs Alexander told SAT TV News that she feel privileged to have been chosen for the scholarship, to undertake such an important training programme.
She added that the training has equipped her with a wealth of knowledge that she intends to pass onto her colleagues, as they continue to work together to uphold the mandate of the police force.
Earlier this week, the British High Commission made a presentation of a number of drug fighting equipment to the Dominica Police Force.
