Bath Estate Man Fined for Theft!
He pleaded guilty to stealing two cell phones, a Samsung galaxy valued $806.00 and an Alcatel worth $350 from Craig Hamilton of Elmshall on May 22, 2014.
The facts stated that Hamilton had secured his house leaving his phones on a table and went to bed.
Next morning he observed that one of his windows was damaged and his cell phones were missing.
He reported the matter to police and on May 25 police met the defendant and informed him of the report.
Pinard admitted that he had in fact stolen the phones. He told police he was sorry for his actions and even offered to weed the grass in the complainant’s yard for free.
Before sentencing, magistrate Candia George warned Pinard that he should be content with the money he makes.
She also reminded him of his previous convictions before he was fined $1,000 to be paid by July 31, 2014 or in default spend 3 months in prison.
The phones were recovered and returned to the owner.
