BCAD hold discussions as they get set to welcome the procurement bill

As part of its thrust to get its membership familiar with issues in the sector, the Builders and Contractors Association (BCAD), is embarking on an education session for the construction sector, by hosting a discussion on the current drafting of the procurement bill.

The event which was held at the University of the Wwest Indies Open Campus was attended by a number of persons involved in the construction and building sector to include builders, contractors, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors and even suppliers.

At Wednesday’s discussion, chairperson of BCAD’s contracts committee, Mr Anthony Leblanc mentioned the two main concerns of the committee, which he believes, should be addressed in  the bill.

The bill is expected to be passed in parliament next month.
