Bishop Daniel’s Statement On Gay Tourism

bishop_daniel.jpgBishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Dominica, and President of the Dominica Association of Evangelical Churches (DAEC) Bishop Michael Daniel says, the incident on March 21st where two gay men were seen allegedly engaging in explicit homosexual acts on the balcony of a cruise ship, while docked on the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth was not a coincidence but a test.

Bishop Daniel says the test is to see what Dominica’s position is on relationships of the same sex including homosexuality and lesbianism.

Bishop Daniel says that the Evangelical community has over the years spoken quite loudly against the practice of homosexuality in Dominica, and also the issue of gay ships visiting our country.

He says that this position was clearly demonstrated in 2008, when a demonstration was mounted against an unannounced gay cruise ship destined to Dominica after being rejected by another Caribbean Island.

Bishop Daniel applauds the police for their quick response in apprehending the offenders, who have one intention and that is to pollute our beautiful country, the Nature Island of the World.

He went on to say that the DAEC is vehemently opposed to organized gay tours visiting our island.
