Bowling out AIDS workshop
Retired University Professor Dr. Colin Higgs has made a visit to Dominica to help co-ordinate a “Bowling out AIDS” workshop on April 13th.
This project is a new method to distribute essential information to our youth.
Dr. Higgs says the purpose of this workshop is to provide information to the public through a sport.
He mentioned that the idea originally came from the UK Government, which was passed on to the Canadian Government.
The Canadian Government came to the conclusion that the workshop should be held through out the Caribbean.
Dr. Higgs stated that, the target audiences are populace between the ages 9-19. However, the information is available to anyone interested.
The workshop will be held throughout the Caribbean, Dominica being the first.
Officer Pellan Jno. Baptiste believes it is vital to introduce the significance of AIDS to the children now.
