Canefield Man Fall Victim to Road Fatality

crime sceneA Canefield man has been pronounced dead, due to an accident on the Soufriere road.

According to a report from the Public Relations Officer, Inspector John Carbon, the incident occurred at approximately 3:45 am on August 31st.

Car registration number PD582 was being driven by 26 year old Laplee Luke of Canefield, with two other occupants on board.

The vehicle went out of control colliding with a mound, then plunged into a 36 feet precipice.

All three men were taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital Accident and Emergency Department, where Laplee was pronounced dead.

The two other occupants sustained minor injuries and were treated and discharged.

A coroner’s inquest will be convened and a post mortem will follow.

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
