CARIMAN Representative Speaks on their Plans and Goals
Although CARIMAN stands for “Caribbean Male Action Network”, representative of CARIMAN Mr. Malcom St. Rose says, it is a community of caring men committed to partnering with women to create a just world where people achieve their fullest potential.
Mr. St. Rose stated that they have done a number of things as a new group, such as observing International Men’s Day and hosting interesting programs for the betterment of the youth.
There are many interesting things planned for CARIMAN. President, Mr Thomas Holmes, says the purpose of this group is to create space for boys and men to come together and discuss their issues.
They also collaborate with women’s groups and organisations.
CARIMAN will be observing a very important day on Monday, November 19th, which is International Men’s Day, that is also being observed all over the world.
This will be held under the theme, “Helping Boys Live Longer, Healthier and Happier Lives.
President of CARIMAN Mr. Holmes says, they will also be promoting fathers and positive role models in schools, homes and communities, as well as giving encouragement to all the boys starting from early childhood level.
