Dominica may be getting assistance from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) to meet financial expenses following damages caused by the collapse of the Mattieu Dam in Layou last week.

One week after the disaster, officials from CDB spoke with Minister of Public Works, Rayburn Blackmoore, on Thursday August 4th.

The Government of Dominica estimated that the infrustructural damage was approximately twenty-two million dollars.

Reconstruction of the Clarke Hall Bridge is among priority areas, discussed by the officials.

A site visit is expected to be conducted soon.
