Chari Peter Wins Miss Teen 2014 Pageant
The St. Johns Academy copped two crowns for the 2014 Carnival Season, when Chari Peter won the Miss Teen Pageant title on Sunday February 23rd.
Peters followed in the footsteps of Lemar “Irish Kid” Irish, who won the Junior Monarch Calypso competition on Thursday February 20th.
Ms. Peter won the awards for Best Evening Wear, Best in Evening Wear, Best Spectacular Creation and Best Response to Question.
Ms. Daina Peltier of the Convent High School, who won the award for Best Speech, was the first runner up.
Ms. Kadeen Etienne of the St. Martin’s Secondary School, the second runner up, won the awards for Best Talent and Best in Spectacular Creation.
Natasha Laurent of the Dominica Grammar School placed third runner up.
Miss Amity went to Deidra Cuffy of the Goodwill Secondary School and Miss Photogenic went to Natasha Laurent of the Dominica Grammar School.
Other contestants were Brianni Lawrence of the Isaiah Thomas Secondary, Kurtisha Wade of the Castle Bruce Secondary, and Omisha Francis of the Pierre Charles Secondary.
