Clement Labassiere of Vielle-Case charged for the murder of Ambrose Leblanc also of Vielle-Case
Thirty-Three (33) year old Clement Labassiere of Vielle-Case has been formerly charged with the Murder of Ambrose Leblanc also of Vielle-Case.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Claude Weekes, on Wednesday February 16th, 2011 Ambrose Leblanc was allegedly struck with a stone in his forehead by Clement Labassiere after which he was taken to the Portsmouth Hospital and was subsequently referred to the Princess Margaret Hospital for further medical attention, where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday February 19th, 2011.
Labassiere, who is now remanded in police’s custody at the Dominica State Prison, was taken before the Roseau Magistrate’s Court, last week.
The Preliminary inquiry into the matter is expected to commence in May 2011.
