Counterfeit Notes in Circulation in Dominica
According to Police Public Relations Officer, John Carbon, these are both in United States dollar notes and Eastern Caribbean dollar notes.
Business owners, or anyone who comes into contact with these notes, are advised to pay special attention.
The Police P.R.O stated, from January to April 2014, sixty-six counterfeit notes of different denominations ranging from $10.00 to $100.00 of both currencies have been reported to the Police.
He added it is an offence to forge, utter, fraudulently convert and to possess fraudulent bank notes.
Anyone with information on the circulation of counterfeit notes is asked to call the Police Hint Line at 1-800-4468 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
