Cricket Commentator wants Election of Heads of Cricket Association to be Pushed back from Upcoming AGM
On the heels of the Annual General Meeting of the Dominica Cricket Association, one cricket commentator is asking that the election of officers be pushed back to next year.
Cricket Commentator, Mr. Joseph Thomas, wants the election pushed back, due to the upcoming tour to the Caribbean of West Indies and South Africa’s women, and test match between West Indies Men and Zimbabwe men.
He says this will give people the opportunity to express their views about the matches and give constructive criticism.
He wants this to happen so that the persons who are considering being part of the executive board can have enough time to think about the decision and make sure it is the right one.
The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday December 22nd, from 9:30 am at the Garraway Hotel.
He wants these people to also put forward their ideas of what their plans are for the association and the development of the sport in Dominica.
The AGM comes on the heels of the passing of late cricketer, Mr. Tom Lafond who died on December 18th, 2012.
LaFond’s funeral will be held on Friday January 4th, 2013 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in the Goodwill community.
