cricket_pic.jpgThe Australian Team landed early on April 20th and was welcomed by officials from the Dominica Cricket Association and headline sponsors for the upcoming cricket matches.

Coach of the Australian team Mr. Mickey Arthur is confident in his team and says that his team will be putting forth their best at these final matches as they have some good players in reserve.

The West Indies Team arrived a few hours later with some members joining the welcome band in playing the popular song ‘Rally for the West Indies’ song.

Mr. Darren Sammy the Captain of the West Indies team say that this final match of the Digicel series is one of great importance to the team as it will decide whether they move forward in the cricket series.

The Australians won the first test and the second resulted in a draw which makes these final matches vital to both teams as it will determine whether the Australians win the Digicel Test or the West Indies draw.

Son of the soil, Mr. Shayne Shillingford, returning home with the team from the last test match in St. Lucia with the West Indies Team will be playing before his home country for the first time and is a little nervous.

The matches commence on April 23rd at the Windsor Park Stadium and will run for 5 days with the final game being played on April 27th.
