DAPD Hosts Management Training and Planning Seminar
In an effort to form their own business, the Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities (DAPD), is hosting a Management Training and Planning Seminar this week.
This seminar seeks to enable participants to understand, manage and operate a viable business enterprise, and to build the managerial capacities and business skills of persons with disabilities.
Executive Director of DAPD, Ms. Nathalie Murphy, says this comes at an opportune time for the organization, because they desperately need a way to generate much needed income.
The seminar runs from November 13th to the 15th, and will bring persons like Dr. Valda Henry, and Mrs. Sharon Vidal-Francis to speak to the participants.
Ms. Murphy says Dr. Henry will be teaching them how to develop a business plan.
At the seminar, they will also be discussing activities to observe the DAPD’s 30th Anniversary.
She hopes that people from outside will also see the need to help them with their goals of having their own business and assist in any way they can.
