On Sunday April 28th, the Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities (DAPD), held a walk-a-thon to raise funds for their institution.
The walk-a-thon commenced at the Loubiere Bus Stop and terminated in Belfast.
Executive Director of DAPD, Mrs. Nathalie Murphy, classified the walk-a-thon as a special event saying that it is part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.
Mrs. Murphy stated, when they host these activities, they accept small and large donations.
She encouraged the DAPD members who can walk, to stay off the vehicles unless they are truly exhausted.
Overall, Mrs. Murphy believes the walk-a-thon was fairly satisfactory.
