Mr. Merrill J. Matthew, Dean of Faculty of Education at the Dominica State College (DSC), is urging adults throughout the Island to further their education.

This statement comes after 40 candidates, who took the DSC administered June 2013, City and Guilds International Examinations excelled, setting a record for the college.

Mr. Matthew says it does not matter whether adults may be currently employed. Continued Education refers to everyone.

“Continued Education is necessary, if an individual has the skill but does not have the written qualification which says so”, she stated.

Mr. Matthew strongly believes that it is extremely vital that Dominicans take advantage of the courses offered by the Dominica State College.

The CVQ (Caribbean Vocational Qualification) program, will prevent others from questioning one’s ability, he added.

Mr. Matthew noted the same program, which is conducted as CVQ level 2 in Dominica, will be the same as those in Barbados, Jamaica and St. Vincent.

The Dean also congratulated the 40 students who excelled magnificently in their exams.
