DFA President Encourages Football to be Played at an Early Stage


Youth Nation Cup Series 2013

 A total of fifteen teams gathered at the Newtown Savannah on Saturday July 29th, to kick off the Youth Nation Cup Series 2013 with a grand soccerama.

Football teams from various communities participated in this even.


Mr. Glen Etienne, President of the Dominica Football Association

In the thirteen and under category, the Laplaine Youth Soccer Academy emerged victorious.

In the sixteen and under category, Julius Timothy Tarish Ballers United went home winners.

Speaking to the footballers at the opening ceremony, long standing Coach Mr. Jeoffre Faustin, stated the importance of football and sports to the youth.

Mr. Glen Etienne, President of the Dominica Football Association urged the players to take full responsibility and benefits of this opportunity.

According to Mr. Etienne the opportunities are here for the footballers.  He reminded them that sports and academics go hand in hand.

Games will commence on Tuesday 23rd through Sunday with the thirteen and under matches at 10:00 am, whilst the sixteen and under teams will commence at 2:00pm daily
