A British health expert is urging Dominicans to take exercise more seriously, to reduce the incident of non communicable diseases such as diabetes. Podiatrist, Anna Evans was the featured speaker at a public lecture organized by Sagico insurance company in partnership with the rotary club of Dominica and the local diabetes association.
She says, some individuals call it sugar, but for the people who are living with diabetes, they need to know the bitter realities, as well as the sweet steps that must be taken to live as well.
Ms. Evans says, there are some exercise precautions which people with diabetes must take. However, when done safely, exercise is a valuable aid to optimal health.
