Digicel donates to 4 needy charities

The bigger better network, Digicel, as part of their 6th anniversary, have chosen to touch the lives of some of Dominica’s less fortunate.The Infirmary, House of Hope, Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities, and Workshop For the Blind are the proud recipients of the donations.

Nathalie walsh, Sales and Marketing Manager of Digicel (Dominica) Ltd, says that as part of their promise to move the community forward in a positive way, launched their top up promotion on June 7th, to donate 20% of every top up to a needy charity.

She says customers were very excited about the promotion.

Marcelle Augustine, Secretary of House of Hope says with the help of benefactors like Digicel and others, they were able to put up the house of hope building.

She wants to assure that the donation will go a long way to keeping the residents  safe and in good care.

Natalie Murphy, Executive Director of Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities (DAPD) said normally they are the ones making the appeaL but this time it was Digicel reaching out to them.

Each charity received $4ooo as part of the promotion.
