Dominica should be prepared for disaster at all times
The need to be prepared for any disaster has become even more apparent over the past few weeks with the breaking of the Mattieu Dam at Layou, the passing of tropical storm Emily and most recently, the earthquake which affected Dominica yesterday.
National Disaster Coordinator, Mr Nathanael Isaac is asking the general public to be cautious while in areas which are prone to disasters.
Mr. Isaac said that it is especially important to be prepared now that we are in the heart of the hurricane season.
He added that although earthquakes are unpredictable and one cannot necessarily be prepared for an earthquake, there is still a mode of action to be taken during such an incident.
