Dominica Cricket Association Finally Announces the Date for Their Annual General Meeting
Saturday December 19th 2010 is the date set for the Dominica Cricket Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) where members will touch the basis of many concerning issues affecting the association and also elect the next individual for office.
While speaking to SAT TV News on Thursday December 9th 2010, Mr Joseph Thomas, Secretary of the Dominica Cricket Association says the financial reports and the elections are among the many topics up for discussion.
He believes that the Dominica Cricket Association’s election will most definitely stimulate the public interest.
“Individuals interested in being part of the new executive should come forward since the Association does not have a process by which the candidates are chosen. You simply show up for the meeting and the individuals are chosen,” said Thomas.
Given the fact that the twelve teams under the Intermediate Division and the eight teams under the Premier Division play a significant role in the election, Mr Thomas is appealing to the young men to ensure their presence at the meeting.
He said, “On behalf of the Dominica Cricket Association I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year especially the cricketers since we plan to host a test march in Dominica in July 2011.”
