Dominica featured in USA today travel section
Dominica was featured in the travel section of USA today where a guest of the silver explorer cruise ship and visitor of the nature isle of his Caribbean explains the fascinating experience.
He says that silver explorer provided a wide range of shore excursions for its tourists at almost no cost to them making his visit amazing.
The tourist wrote to usa today travel stating that “it is difficult to put a figure on what the average cost of silver explorer’s excursions would be, but i would have expected to have paid between $89 to $149 per person for the six-hour outing on the island of Dominica.
With other visitors from the cruise ship, he was transported in a comfortable, air-conditioned van with driver and guide, up and across the island to visit a Carib village. Silver explorer also offered a shorter shore excursion for those who wanted to kayak and snorkel.
Along the way, they stopped at the emerald pool, trekking for 15 minutes through tropical rainforest to a beautiful cascading waterfall plunging into the pool. Back in the van, we crossed over the high ridge and began our descent to the Atlantic side of Dominica, a ruggedly beautiful coastline.
We stopped at a village called Salybia, where we sat in a historical church to hear about the Carib way of life. Next, we drove to the carib indian village, a model park of sorts where we saw how caribs lived and watched them perform their traditional dances.
