Dominica Loses Sixth Match in the 2012 West Indies Cricket Board Women’s T20 Competition

Dominica lost their sixth match in as many outings in the 2012 West Indies Cricket Board Women’s T20 currently taking place in Jamaica.

Playing at the Chedwin Park, just on the out skirts of the capital, Kingston, Dominica went down to Guyana by 87 runs.

Guyana batted first and reached 152 for five from their 20 overs after being 19 for four at one stage.

For Guyana, Tremayne Smart hit an unbeaten 70, while Melanie Henry and Prudence Williams stroked 31 and 15 not out respectively.

In reply, Dominica struggled and reached 65 for nine off 20 overs, with Pearl Etienne being the top scorer with 14 runs.

Tiffany Graham and Shanita Graham scored 10 runs apiece.

Bowling for Guyana, Tremayne Smart finished with three for nine and Erva Giddings took two four for.

In other results, Barbados defeated Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago defeated St. Lucia by 98 runs and defending champions Jamaica won over St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
