While many persons may say that Dominica has shifted its dependence on agriculture to tourism, focus is now being placed on promoting health and wellness to visitors and locals alike.

This statement came from yoga instructor, Miss Charity Robinson, who has been conducting yoga classes at the fort young hotel for the past three months.

The yoga classes which have been endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, seeks to give locals and visitors an opportunity to experience wellness in Dominica’s pristine environment.

Classes are being conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:45pm, Tuesdays from 6am to 7:15am and Fridays from 7am to 8:15am.

Miss Robinson says the sessions are divided into various segments.

Miss Robinson says that the sessions cater to people of all ages and has received positive feedback from its participants.

As of late, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism has been promoting Dominica as one of the prime locations in the world for health and wellness, where yoga, health eating and beauty therapy takes precedence.
