Dominica Suffer Another Defeat in Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament

Dominica went down for the fourth time in as many matches in the 2012 West Indies Cricket Board Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament in Jamaica on Sunday, after suffering defeats in their pervious matches.

Playing at the Kensington park, Dominica went down by four wickets as the hands of Grenada.

Dominica won the toss and decided to take first knock and was bowled out for 76 runs in 19.5 overs.

Junica Valantine with 18 runs was the top scorer.

Grenada reached 77 for six in 16.2 overs.

Pearl Etienne was the most successful bowler taking two for 17 from her four overs.

In other results in the fourth round of matches, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Barbados were also victorious.

When the action continues on Tuesday all teams will be on show, with St. Lucia facing T&T in the morning at Kensington park and SVG meet Jamaica. Grenada will play Barbados in the morning at Chedwin park before Dominica tackle Guyana at the same venue.
