Dominica’s first Creole Food Fest & Fashion Show deemed successful


Over fifty different styles and designs of traditional wear and contemporary wear were displayed when the National Cultural Council and the Cultural Division held the first ever Creole Food Fest and Fashion Show held at the St Gerard’s Hall last weekend, as part of activities marking Dominica’s 32nd independence celebrations.

The event was aimed at displaying the many styles that can be worn during the independence season, incorporating the Wob Dwiyet with the African and Indigenous wear.

The food fest in itself sought to demonstrate the many dishes that can be made Dominica’s our local produce and fruits.
