Dominica’s Next Supermodel Host Video Ad Challenge
Ten young ladies competed against each other on Sunday April 6th 2014, as they were engaged in a video advertisement, as part of their participation in this year’s Dominica’s Next Super Model Competition.
Each young lady was given a product courtesy of sponsor Jolly’s Pharmacy, which they were to conceptualize a creative advertisement for to sell the product.
Chief Executive Officer of Dominica’s Next Supermodel, Ms. Ruth Augustine explained that, the ladies were tasked to make the advertisement, one minute in duration using their own props, which proved to be a challenge for the aspiring models.
It’s not only about being glamorous and looking beautiful in front of a camera, she said.
“You need to know how the model can connect with the audience. You need to know whether she is the right person, the right spokesperson, to represent the organization.”
The winner of the video challenge will win EC $500; while the first runner up receives EC $200 compliments Jolly’s Pharmacy.
The winner will be judged by the public and announced at the show on May 2nd at the Windsor Park Stadium.
