DOMLEC Gives Back as Part of “Nation Building”

DOMLEC, the main electricity provider in Dominica, continues to give back to the community, as they hosted a donation event on Thursday April 18th, at their company’s branch located in Fond Cole.

The recipients of this generous donation included; the Kalinago Child Support Foundation, Eggleston/Giraudel Flower Growers Inc, the Education Trust Fund and the Roseau Valley Football Committee.

DOMLEC’S General Manager, Mr. Collin Cover, said that the company has customers in every village within Dominica hence the reason for this donation.

Mr. Cover says he strongly believes in generosity.

He added, that although certain individuals speak negatively about the company, they will continue to execute good deeds.

Mr. Willie Fevriere, Board Chairman of the Education Trust Fund, noted, they will continue to value the partnership established between DOMLEC and the Education Trust Fund.

Mr. Fevriere added, their relationship and partnership goes beyond six years and the contribution has grown over the years.

This year, they received five thousand dollars.

The Giraudel and Eggleston Flower Growers Inc, requested assistance from DOMLEC for a permanent venue to host their flower show.

Today, they received four thousand, eight hundred dollars.

Six thousand dollars was also donated to the Kalinago Child Support Foundation for the establishment of a Soup Kitchen.

The Roseau Valley Football Committee also received six thousand dollars for the preparations of the DOMLEC Roseau Valley Football League.
