Donation of books at public library
The Public Library is now better equipped with black history material, as they have received a special donation of such books from an overseas based Dominican.
Mr. Franklyn Georges who classifies himself as a black activist says, he started displaying his books, pictures and dvd’s two years ago during emancipation week.
Mr. Georges who says he was impressed by Ms. Giselle Toussaint’s play “A Tale Of Slavery,” so he choose her to make the presentation on his behalf, because he is certain that she will be using them.
The librarian management and staff all gave thanks to Mr. Georges for his kind donation of the books on black history, which will be useful for themselves and students who come to the library to use them.
