Drug Bust at Stowe and Portsmouth
On July 12, 2013 about 4am, members of the Drug Squad and the Coast Guard Unit conducted an anti-drug operation at Stowe in the south of the Island.
During the operation the police seized over 1400 pounds of Marijuana, an open keel boat named ‘BOWDEL’, powered by twin 200 horse power Yamaha outboard engines, and one Nissan pick-up registration number PD387.
One individual was arrested during the operation and is in police custody while investigations continue.

Reports are that four individuals are in police custody, following a major drug bust which occurred in the Portsmouth area at about 6.30 pm, Sunday July 14th.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the Drug Squad seized a large quantity of cocaine in the raid.
Reports reaching SAT TV news are that a senior officer of the Inland Revenue Division was arrested in connection with this operation, which also resulted in the apprehension of two vehicles.
