DSC Hosts Private Sector Consultation on OECS Economic Union

Dominica’s Government along with the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), on Wednesday June 12th, held a Private Sector Consultation on OECS Economic Union.

Coordinator of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, Regional Integration Unit, Ms. Elma Isaac, conducted the lecture.

Ms. Isaac explained to the students the procedures required, if one was to relocate their business to a different Caribbean Country.

She emphasized to those entering into the world of business that their focus should not just be on Dominica but opportunities are also available throughout the OECS.

Ms. Issac informed, that individuals are also allowed to travel on their National Identification Card.

The four levels of integration are; the Free Trade Area, Customs Union, Common Market and Economic Union.
