Today, Wednesday 26th February the Soufriere Primary School hosted ‘Eat Fish Day’, a school day dedicated to highlight the advantages of eating fish and its effect on the human body.

The event was sponsored by PDV Petro Caribe Dominica and the Fisheries Division in partnership with Renata, the Ministry of Education and Environmental Health.

The Petro Caribe family has been mapped as one of the main sponsors during the Carnival season and their generosity continued when they provided sponsorship of the event.

Mr. Ian Pinard, Marketing Manager at PDV Caribe applauded the initiative and commended Renata and other sponsors and partners involved.

The Soufriere/Scotts Head area, he said is one of the leading fishing communities in Dominica, adding “if we are providing fish to the nation we have to start first by providing for our children and ourselves”.

Mr. Pinard is the former parliamentary representative of the Soufriere constituency.
