Ebenezer SDA Wins DBS Reading Competition Semi Finals

Jonathan Honore from the Ebenezer SDA topped the first semi-finals of the D.B.S, Ministry of Education & Courts sponsored Reading Competition.

On Monday June 23rd Honore beat eight other competitors to claim first place in the annual event.

Second place went to Annessa Laurent of the Lighthouse Christian Academy, who previously topped the quarter finals.

Solika Dupigny of the Paix Bouche Primary came in third, followed by Keila Alexander of the Woodford Hill Primary.

Monica Polydore of the Wesley Primary placed fifth.

The reading competition was conceptualized as a way to get students interested in reading and making use of the library.

It also encourages competitive reading among students at various schools to promote an enhanced learning environment.

The second semi-finals will be held on Wednesday June 24th at the Dominica Public Service on Valley Road.
