Executive Director of Dominica Planned Parenthood Association Announces Retirement
After two decades as the Executive Director of the Dominica Planned Parenthood Association (DPPA), Mr. Willie Fevrier has announced his retirement.
Mr. Fevrier noted it had been a very long journey. He began work in 1988, and his role in that position ended on June 30th 2013; two months short of 25 years.
When he first started working at the Dominica Planned Parenthood Association, he said there was only one employee.
He noted these persons have provided guidance for the executive director and staff for many years, in addition to the support of Doctor Curvin Ferreira, who provides specialized services and technical advice.
The team at DPPA includes, Annie St. Luce, Doctor Valda Bruno and Daniel Thomas, who are very dedicated to the work and the cause of the Association.
Mr. Fevrier said he is confident that the Board of Directors and the new Executive Director and staff, will continue to guide the Association to provide top quality service in sexual and reproductive health.
