FCCA SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER TO DOMINICAN CHILDREN
Over 200 children, namely from the Tarish Pit community were all smiles, as they received gifts at a Christmas Party, by the FCCA – Florida Caribbean Cruise Association through its Christmas Gift Programme.
Children under the Child’s Fund Caribbean programme were also part of the donations.
The programme focuses on donating gifts to the Caribbean’s underprivileged children and this year, Dominica was once again included for participation.
Mrs. Martha Joseph Fagan, a representative of Child Fund Caribbean, noted this Christmas cheer was made possible due to the hard work of the Organization’s collaboration with the cruise shipping agents.
She thanked all the business partners, who were instrumental in making this Christmas Party possible, including, the crew of the Emerald Princess, the Discover Dominica Authority, H.H.V Whitchurch & Company Limited, the Dominica Air & Seaport Authority and the Ministry of Tourism.
Minister of Tourism, Honourable Ian Douglas, stated this positive gesture by the FCCA was all in the effort of giving back, as Dominica and the Association has enjoyed a mutual relationship for over 30 years, citing the importance of playing our part in tourism.
The children were greeted by Santa Claus, and then were given their gifts.
