Female Injured in Vehicular Accident
One female was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), following a vehicular accident in Canefield, across from the Canefield Ball Park in the vicinity of Al Motors, near the Canefield Bus Stop.
The incident occurred at about 5:30pm, on Sunday February 17th 2013.
It is reported that a female, who was the lone driver in the vehicle at the time, while driving in a southerly direction, lost control of a Suzuki SX4 car and made contact with a concrete pavement. The vehicle then crossed over the gutter and flipped over.
The woman was trapped in the car, until she was freed by Fire and Ambulance Personnel, who arrived on the scene shortly after.
Reports are that, the victim was seen bleeding from her head while she was being freed from the vehicle.
The vehicle was extensively damaged as a result of the incident, which attracted a number of curious onlookers.
Information on the identity of the victim was unknown at press time, and efforts to contact the Police Public Relations Officer proved futile.
