Female Student Tops Cape Exams

Lead Institute student, Netritia Henry, is Dominica’s top performer in the CXC May/June 2012 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Exams (CAPE).

Ms. Henry, a first year Business major in Lead Institute’s CXC/CAPE Associate Degree programme, secured two grade 1’s and two grade 2’s in the four CAPE Units taken in the exam.

She was awarded grades 1 in Business Management unit 1 and Accounting and grades 2 in Business Management Unit 2 and Economics.

An elated Henry attributed her success at this year’s exams to hard work and an outstanding programme at Lead Institute.

In recognition of her scholastic achievement, Lead Institute presented Ms. Henry with a partial scholarship that will go towards her tuition on her second year of studies.

Local CXC Registrar Ms. Catherine Daniel congratulated Lead Institute on its performance at the CAPE exams.  Other noteworthy performances also came from Sharma Lazare who secured passes in all four CAPE units taken.

Currently, Lead Institute offers Associate Degrees in Business, Humanities, Computer Science and General Studies, and registration is now open for the 2012/13 academic year.
