Forty-three year old man fined $ 700.00 for having two cannabis trees in his yard
Aldrick Larocque, 43, of Canefield was fined $700.00 on January 13th 2011, at the Roseau Magistrate Court, for possession of cannabis and cultivating the drug.
According to the facts of the matter, Larocque, who pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and not guilty to cultivating the drug, immediately admitted to the police, that he only has two trees in his yard.
He also added that the drugs were for his own consumption and not for sale.
Magistrate Candia George ordered Larocque to pay the fine by February 28th 2011 or in default two months imprisonment.
