French students visit to Dominica for school programme
Ms. Alex Cuffy Montanedo who is an English teacher based in Martinique at the College Petit Manoire, came to Dominica for the Programme with four teachers from the Secondary School explains the programme.
Ms. Montanedo says that this has been going on for the past three years, and she is very happy that Goodwill Secondary School accommodated the students.
The students also had to do something cultural which was a dance they produced from Martinique, while witnessing cultural dancers of Dominica.
The students also got to visit a number of Dominica’s sites such as; The Emerald Pool, and also the Kalinago Territory amongst .
Ms. Montanedo says this is something she would like to continue doing in the future, with as many of her students as possible so they can witness Dominica’s natural beauty while on the Island.
Ms. Milia Carmen who is a teacher in charge of discipline at the school says, this is a very important programme for the students to participate in for their education.
Information Technology teacher Mr. Francois Scaron pointed out that it is very important that the students a familiar with the English language.
He went on to say that they do enjoy visiting Dominica, for its natural beauty and would like to come back in the future.
