Goodwill School Defeats Community High School

The Goodwill Secondary School (GSS) made light work of their opponent, the Dominica Community High School (DCHS) in the 2012 Sports Division Football competition.

Playing in the under 17 category at the Newtown Savannah on Wednesday, the GSS thrashed the DCHS by five goals to nil in a one sided affair.

Anfernee Frederick continued his good form as he found the back of the net three times.

Frederick was ably supported by Shahid Dorival and Delroy Parker with one goal each.

When the action continues on Friday, a number of teams will take to the field.

In one of three matches in the Under 20 category, the Dominica State College will take on the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School at the Pottersville playing field from 3pm.

At the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth, the Portsmouth Secondary School will take on the Goodwill Secondary School from 5pm.

In the other scheduled under 20 encounter, the Nehemiah Comprehensive School will travel to Grand Bay where they will take on the Pierre Charles Secondary School from 3pm.

In the Under 15 category, the Castle Bruce Secondary School will do battle against the Dominica Grammar School from 2pm at Castle Bruce, while at Portsmouth, the Portsmouth Secondary School will do battle against the North East Comprehensive School.

Also in the under 15, SMA will take on the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School.

This encounter is scheduled for the Pottersville playing field and will kick off from 2pm.
