Grammacks New Generation promises a ‘big clash’ this weekend
They have labeled the show as ‘The Pioneers Clash’!
That’s when cadence pioneers Grammacks New Generation and bouyon pioneers the WCK band will meet at the Krazy Koconuts on Saturday for a grand ‘pioneers clash’.
Jeff Joe of Grammacks said that patrons can expect a good show, with songs like ‘soocooyah’ on the cards, as they give back to their Dominican supporters.
“I know we can expect good music form Grammacks New Generation – we are going to be playing some new songs, old songs, featuring a lot of the legendary songs like ‘soocooyah’. We have a large repertoire and we will also be playing some songs we don’t usually play. So, we’ll be having some new songs and some ‘ole’ new songs, we have the full squad with the horns featuring Fitzroy from the Exile One. It is going to be a nice show…” said Joe.
Jeff Joe said that Grammack is pleased to be associated with the WCK band, who will be their feature artists on that night.
“WCK are the pioneers of bouyon music and they are going to be our feature guests at the show on Saturday. It is going to be nice to see the generations together; well with Grammacks there is no generation gap…” said Joe.
He also called on Dominicans to support the event.
“Everyone should come to the show because Grammacks is home-grown Dominican, so patrons are supporting Dominican music in full strength if they come to the show. The show is going to be good…” said Joe.
Tickets for the show cost only $35 and can be purchased at Bulls Eye Pharmacy and Lofty’s place by the market. Sponsors for the event include Digicel, Bulls Eye Pharmacy, L’express Des Isles, DBS Radio, Kairi FM and Heineken. Showtime is 10pm sharp!
